| Smith Mountain Lake Marine Fire Rescue now offers a live scanner feed on its website. This feature allows users to listen to all Fire, EMS, and Sheriff channels, also known as talkgroups. Listeners can choose to scan every available talkgroup or select specific ones, providing flexibility based on individual preferences.
The scanner is currently in a beta testing phase and may experience brief interruptions as adjustments and improvements are made. Plans are underway to include Franklin County channels in the future.
For the best experience, users are encouraged to review the "How to Use This Scanner" and "A Few Tips" sections located below the scanner. The live feed can be accessed by selecting the "Scanner Feed" option from the menu on the left side of the home page. |
