| Smith Mountain Lake Marine Volunteer Fire & Rescue will lead a memorial run on the lake this Friday, September 11, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Hales Ford Bridge near Bridgewater Plaza. The procession will conclude between markers R11a and R12.
This event honors the first responders and civilians who lost their lives on 9/11. All watercraft are welcome to join this solemn procession. As the memorial is non-political, participants are asked not to display flags or signs with political affiliation. American flags are encouraged as a symbol of unity and remembrance. |
